February 15thSnowdrop Day. See the thousands of snowdrops planted by volunteers and then enjoy tea & cake and a gardening quiz at the Swettenham Arms.

June 21stGreenwood craft day *Live demonstrations * traditional skills * handmade items for sale . Perfect for Father’s Day!
Skilled craftspeople will be demonstrating pole lathe turning, traditional greenwood tools and techniques, spoon and bowl carving and a display of handcrafted objects. Hosted by the Cheshire Association of Pole Lathe Turners and Green Woodworkers

Aug 8thTree identification with David Skidmore. 2.30pm to 4pm. Free for members, non members £6.50 for adults and £1.50 for children (includes booking fee). Please click here to book.
Aug 22nd Nature trail with birds and butterflies. 11am to 3pm. With Maria Wilson. A self-guided trail for accompanied children to find places around the Arboretum. No pre-booking required. Tatton Garden Society members free, non-members £5.50 adults, £1.50 children.  Suitable for accompanied children 5-9 year olds
Aug 26thNature detectives day. 2pm to 4.30pm. With Laura Cunningham. An afternoon for young nature enthusiasts and their families to find nature clues and identify the wild plants, birds and other wildlife in the Arboretum. Tatton Garden Society members free. Aug 29thChildren’s Book reading by Matt Buckingham. 11am to 12 noon. Matt Buckingham is our writer-in-residence and is a  well known children’s author. Sept 26thPlant health workshop.  2pm to 4pm. An afternoon with Ginette Alexander of the Castle Howard (Yorkshire) Arboretum. Learn how to find and recognise tree diseases and find out what it is like to be a “Plant Doctor”. Tatton Garden Society members free. Non-members £6.50 adults, children (must be accompanied) £2.50.
